Apple and Pecan Crumble
Ingredients
3 Large cooking apples
A large handful of pecan nuts
3tbsp light brown sugar
3tbsp maple syrup
5tbsp plain flour
2tbsp butter
Method
* Peel and core the apples, then thinly slice.
* Arrange the apples into a baking dish and sprinkle with 2tbsp of the sugar.
* Scatter over the pecan nuts and drizzle over the maple syrup.
* In a mixing bowl, rub together the flour, remaining sugar and butter to make a breadcrumb consistency.
* Sprinkle this over the apple and pecan mixture.
* Bake in a preheated oven at 200C for 20-25mins or until golden and crisp.
Serve hot on its own, but is delicious with cream or ice cream.
