Christmas is upon us...
With only a few days left until Christmas is here, its finally time for us as a family to cozy down. The run up to Christmas on the farm is usually chaotic and a thousand miles per hour as we prepare for Father Christmas on the farm. This year was no exception as we frantically worked night and day to build an enclosed seating area, a new Christmas shop and continually rebuild a marquee that the naughty wind was trying its best to destroy.
The Christmas open days were so much fun and our elves were brilliant as usual, but it just wouldn't be the same without Father Christmas and Mrs Claus. We even had a visit from Mama Gingerbread this year.
As much fun as it was, its so nice to be getting back to normality. It's been nice to decorate the Christmas tree with the kids (resisting my urges to take over and to allow them freedom to be creative 😂) and getting in the kitchen baking. We were very late getting our Christmas puddings made this year. Normally I would have them made by Stir up Sunday, but not enough hours in the day 😂
So as we are busy boxing up Christmas veg orders for customers and baking gingerbread for the kids, the days buzz by and all too soon the big man will be squeezing himself down the chimney.
I wish all of you the merriest of Christmas frivolities and that Father Christmas is very generous.
From my family to yours
